Instructions for authors

Authors are invited to contribute to the conference through full papers and Work in Progress posters. All submissions should fit within the scope of the conference topics listed below.

When submitting, authors will be asked to select the topic that best matches their work. This helps us organise the review process and build a coherent programme.

The topics below cover the main areas of interest for the conference. The subtopics are provided as examples to guide submissions, but they are not restrictive. We welcome contributions that go beyond these examples as long as they relate to façade fire safety.

Conference Topics

1. Façade Materials and System Performance in Fire

How façade materials and systems behave in fire conditions, including reaction-to-fire, fire resistance, and system-level performance. This also includes failure mechanisms and newer façade concepts such as PV/BIPV systems and green façades.

2. Fire Testing and Performance Evaluation of Façades

Experimental approaches to façade fire safety, from small-scale testing to large-scale façade fire tests, including vertical fire spread and methods for evaluating performance.

3. Numerical Modelling and Fire Simulation

Computational approaches to understanding façade fires, including model development, validation against experiments, and parametric studies.

4. Façade Fire Case Studies and Post-Fire Investigations

Real fire events, post-fire investigations, and lessons learned from actual façade fire incidents, including how observed behaviour compares to predictions.

5. Regulation, Risk and Future Developments

Fire safety regulations, risk assessment, performance-based design, sustainability aspects, and future façade technologies.
